Motlow College Dual Enrollment History

World Civilizations I and II

I am an Instructor of History at Motlow State in the Department of Social Sciences and Education. I graduated with my both my B.A. in History/Political Science in 2010, and my M.A. in European History in 2012, from Middle Tennessee State University. My area of interest is 19th and 20th century European History, with a specialization in Third Reich Studies. I am currently pursuing my second master's degree in Military History from Austin Peay State University, as well as working on my first published contribution to the field; the topic of which is the Boer Wars in South Africa at the turn of the century.

I began teaching at Motlow State in the Spring of 2014. My experience with the Honors program has been great. I have taught American History II Honors and World Civilization I and II Honors, so far. I believe that my background has allowed me to bring a unique perspective to the history classes at Motlow, and the honors courses, in particular, have allowed me the opportunity to delve into various areas of study with students through individual research topics.
